I took a garage-kept 1985 Mercury Grand Marquis in for new tires to the store on Mercury Blvd in Hampton, Virginia. Pep Boys did a front end alignment, wheel balance, new valve stems, and installed new tires.

I drove the car home after service. As I looked the car over I noticed the wheel cover was barely on. Upon further inspection I determined that the wheel was bent. I drove back to Pep Boys to complain only to be yelled at in a condescending manner.

They insisted that I ran into a curb and that THEY did not damage the rim. This is not true. This car is garage kept and despite its age looks brand new. Well, I had no proof that they damaged it, so I went to the junkyard and purchased another rim.

I went to another garage and had the tire remounted. I know Pep Boys damaged my rim.

Its a shame because I had been a loyal customer for years, but I will never go there again.
