After three hours I approached Geo who said it would be another hour or so. Now it is too late to go somewhere else. Pep boys is officially the worst

Pep Boys in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Manufacturer's rebate rip-off

1.0
Details
Bought a can of Arctic Freeze freon that had a $10 rebate on it back in July 2017. Filled out the rebate form and mailed that along with the Pep Boys sales receipt with the product circled. Today is November 3rd and I got a response from Armored Auto Group denying the rebate. Their reason was the UPC code does not match a qualifying UPC code. I tried contacting the rebate company phone number and for 20 minutes listened to music and then a recording coming on say we're too busy call back later and hangs up on you. My next move was calling Pep Boys Consumer Affairs and spoke to 8 people over the course of 40 minutes trying to get to the correct department. The word scam comes to mind between two companies. Don't be tricked into Arctic Freeze rebate ripoffs!

Pep Boys in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Car inspection

1.3
Details
Took my 2005 Dodge Caravan in for an oil change. I was told my PA inspection sticker was due within 5 days. In order to pass inspection I would have to replace windshield wipers and rear tail light. I told him give me my keys and couldn't get out of there fast enough. I had replaced the windshield wipers 3 weeks ago and there was no defective rear brake light out. I will give them an A+ for trying to rip me off. Took it to an independent mechanic who passed it with flying colors no problem.

03/14/16 Discover Card Billing Assistance Department P.O Box 30945 Salt Lake City Utah 84130-0945 RE: Case No. 404138266-B Dear Sir/ Madam: On 03/14/16, I spoke with one of your representatives by the name of Mr. Tim; per-our conversation I needed to make copies of the invoice charges, illustrating the over charges for the repairs which was performed on my car by PEP-Boy’s. Hence, per- PEP-Boys on line web-site, it illustrates for their Monroe OESpectrum Strut it requires, and is sold as a quantity of (2); priced as $257.98; yet Mr. Demetrius, felt the need to charge me $412.15 for these parts, please view both copies of PEP-Boys invoices, as well as their on line web-site documents that I’ve provided for you comparison. Moreover, the original price for the labor was $236.90, however Mr. Demetrius, charge the price of $128.99 which is the price of Monroe OESpectrum Struts?. Thus, there are plenty of discrepancies pertaining to the charges; in which I have been charged regarding to the repair of my struts. Please, accept the following invoice documents, regarding the repair work that was performed on my car, along with PEP-BOY’S prices for their Struts/and Kit. Thanking you, for your help with resolving this dilemma with PEP-BOYS. Sincerely, Mercedes L. Henderson 215-877-2955 My Discover Today is April 4, 2016. WOW, on April 1, 2016- it was no joke, PEPBOYS finally to replace and,( I am holding my breath on this one), yet they have replaced my struts, and again, I'm holding my breath for now, for it only required PEPBOYS a month from 03/02/16 - 04/01/16, to complete the task of replacing my Struts.... Way to go PEPBOYS.... Mercedes Henderson

Pep Boys - Tire Repair Review from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

On 4/8/2015 at 12:20pm, I stopped at the Pep Boys Wilow Grove location. I asked for a flat tire repair on the rear of my vehicle. The man behind the service counter seemed annoyed and put out by this request. After asking for my vehicle information in a very rude, annoyed and condescending way, he agreed to have my vehicle repaired, and that it wouldn't take more than 20 minutes. More than an hour passed, and my vehicle still hadn't been looked at, or even brought into a service bay. After 1 hour and 40 minutes approximately, my car was finally brought into the bay and put on a lift. About 15 minutes later, the rude service desk guy asked me to follow him into the service bay. He pointed out that my front tires were wearing out and that they needed to be replaced. I explained that those tires were already ordered, that I was already aware of the problem, and that my rear tire was my current concern. He again insisted on trying to sell me front tires, focusing only on my front tires, and then stated that he wouldn't be able to fix the flat on my rear tire if I wouldn't buy new front tires. I then said, "let me get this straight, you're telling me that after almost two hours of waiting, that you won't fix my rear flat tire, because my front tires are in need of replacement?" He said yes. He refused to fix the flat on my rear tire, which was perfectly fine tread wise, because my front tires were worn. And it took him nearly two hours to make this determination. So basically, I waited two hours for some rude, condescending man, to not fix my flat because I wouldn't buy front tires. And frankly, I've been to Pep Boys on numerous occasions and not once did I ever have a helpful, or pleasant experience. It's like the people there are annoyed at you because you need help with your car. Pep Boys is just not helpful at all and they cost me a lot of time and money yesterday.
