I was told that I needed a new set of spark plug wires and spark plugs to fix a misfire in my Lexus GS300. I had just put in new spark plugs 5 months ago and declined the plugs.

They called me and told me that my car is done so I went to pick up the car. They didn't tell me that they didn't fix the problem with the misfire before I went to pickup my car. Once there and after I paid the bill and drove off with the car running rough I immediately returned to tell them that they didn't fix anything. The service rep told me that since I declined new spark plugs that they could fix the misfire.

I decided to fix the problem myself ...I was able to fix the misfire by replacing the coils.

So the way I look at it ....I basically paid an Pep Boys an extortion fee of $400 to get my car back. American Greed Gone Wild.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
