Pepboys replaced 4 new tires and in the process broke off 2 tire pressure sensor valves. Instead of telling me, they repleaced them with regular rubber ones. Obviously the light came on. I took it back and said it must be a computor problem with the truck. I took it to...

Pepboys new pricing is if you buys the part from the part department and have service install it, it is cheaper than having service sell you the part and install it. Where does this logic come from? Maybe the new head of the corporations pay raise? Forget getting...

I was mistreated by the store manager, Hubert, at the Hicksville Pepboys. I purchased an Energizer battery in October 2007. The battery is defective and under warranty. The manager Hubert is insisting that I pay for a core charge. I gave them the original core back in...

did you request the defective battery back? that could be why they would tack on a core charge.

Pep Boys - Damaged Car

Pep Boys bent my valve cover by screwing the bolts on too tight while replacing the gasket and required me to come back 2 more times so far. Also, while adding my new tires they broke one lug nut and wheel stud. They also ripped the front bumper off my car 'some how' while on the lift or taking it down???? This caused $900-$1000 in damage and I am still waiting on the claim check. I have been to Pep Boys 5 times already to repair what their monkeys in the back broke. The Managers re-did everything but the saga continues and I am still waiting on my claim check for the bumper.

PEP BOYS did a terrible job on my Kia sedona

About 4 weeks ago, I took my kia sedona to get it fixed and the people at Pep Boys told me that they would take care of it. They promised that they would leave it running well ----- What a mistake?! I'll regret that I took it there for the rest of my life and the life of the car as well. They charged me $980.00 for nothing. My car's engine light stayed on and would not give me an explanation why, so I took it to PURRRFECT Auto Service and guess what? They let me see what was wrong with it, through their scanner. The car had 5 major things wrong with it and none of those were pointed out to me my Pep Boys. The "mechanics" here, did one thing though. They disconnected a cable to the heat sensor and the car would now stall anytime the wind would hit my car. Their service was pitiful and now I'm in the middle of a complaint against Pep Boys to get my money back. I hope that no one else gets taken for a ride like I was. In this economy, money is important and honest work and service should go hand in hand. Shame on you Pep Boys! I will see you in court!!

I work in pep boys (not going to say which one) but to all of those people who think it sucks...you're right! Take it from someone from the inside, most of the mechanics are not qualified, they put more money into scooters and home refrigerators than quality parts...

On December 20 2007, my wife took her 2003 impala to PEP BOYS for a simple brake job. My wife was told that her rotors and master cylinder will also need to be replaced along with a few other parts that had nothing to do with the brakes system and $954. later, it still...
