This place is HORRIBLE! DISHONEST! I took my car into this Pep Boys because my 05 Infiniti g35 was shaking when I braked. They were doing a free brake inspection promo at the time. 1 and a half hours later (keep in mind this was JUST an inspection), the woman told me...

Pep Boys in Overland Park, Kansas - We are tired of this company & others hiring India people and illegal mexicans

I agree, I am sick of India people coming here with their rude and nasty attitudes and habits. India people will throw a white person under the bus in a heartbeat to a black and vice versa because we all talk about how they do that!!! They are also dangerous...after all...their group bears "al quaida". They are here in our country and complaining about blacks and whites all over the place. Then our govt and companies deny us jobs and outsource the jobs to India people and Mexicans....Mexicans need to be deported and it is treasonistic for illegals to be coming here and going to college on our money.....white and black kids cannot do this and lets not talk about how unfair this country has been to NAtive Americans!!!!And woe on any state who gets a Mexican or Al quaida Indian for govenor or any other office....surely we cannot be this blind!!!!!!!

Pep Boys Charging to look at car then doubles price of competitors

Pep Boys Naperville, IL. Charged me $34.95 to look at my power window which was broke. I already knew it was the power window motor and regulator. I paid the $34.95. They then charged $2.00+ to remove the door panel. What was the $34.95 for? After waiting over an hour.... They said $335 to repair! Excuse me? I have a brother who lives in New York that repaired the other window in August for $90.00. Part cost. Took him about 30 minutes. Thank God for GERBER. They seen my car after I left Pep Boys and my $37.00 dollars. $184 dollars parts and labor. No fees to look at, no B.S. I was out $37.00 dollars but still saved. Now I remember why I don't use Pep Boys Service. And I won't be buying parts there anymore. Advanced Auto Parts is my new place for parts and things. Service, not Pep Boys! $335! Good luck with your future going out of business sale!

Pep Boys- Pleasant Hills Store / Pgh- ABS False Diagnosis

· I went to the Pep Boys Store, in Pleasant Hills / Pittsburgh Pa, because the ABS light was on. · After waiting 3 hours, the mechanic finally came out from behind the block wall. and said that the problem was a faulty front left wheel hub assembly. I gave him authorization to do the repair, but he said it was too late in the evening to repair, for me to come back tomorrow. I said OK, so, I went back the next day, but when I went back, they said they were too busy again, for me to comeback another day (2 more hrs of my time lost), I did this a few times (another 4 hrs of my time lost) before I was finally take in (another 3 hrs). The mechanic replaced the left front wheel hub assembly, but on the way home the ABS Light came back on again. · I went back a few days latter, this time another mechanic looked at it but put his ABS diagnostic scanned on, and said the right front hub assembly was bad, but because the other mechanic did not do a diagnostic first, he must have mis diagnosed the problem ? So, now the mechanic replaced the right front hub assemble. ABS light went out. · However, a few months later the light started to come back on. After a few back and forth visits (another 3 hours), they finally took me in (another 4 hrs). The mechanic was told to replace the right front wheel hub assembly, and he did. But, before I left the parking lot, the ABS light came back on, I went back into the store, spoke to the manager, he said I would have to wait another 3-4 hours before they would look at it again, and to do a ABS scan, and that the scan would take 1 hour (however, the previous scans only took 15 mins from the shop to the parking lot back to the shop). But I said OK anyhow, then manager said they would not have time at all that day. On the way out, I spoke to the mechanic and he said he was directed to replace the wheel hub, but was not directed to do a diagnostic first. · I am still driving around with my ABS light on. That is what I remember of my last group of ABS visits at the Pep Boys-Pleasant Hills / Pgh, Pa.

Pep Boys- Pleasant Hills / Pittsburgh-Good cop/Bad cop

At the Pleasant Hills store (Pittsburgh, Pa), after 20 months, I still have an issue with Pep Boys Corporate with their failure to honor their warranty (from my perspective). Each time I go to the Pleasant Hills store, I am told by the new assistant manager (who I feel is playing the part of the "good cop"), the decision not to honor the warranty and provide customer satisfaction was coming form the new Manager (who I feel is playing the part of "bad cop"). And they both blame the problem on the previous management team that got ….., and are no longer there. However, when I did speak to the previous management team on the issue, they said the same think as these new guys. Now Pep Boys is saying the problem is out of warranty and Pep Boys is now off the hook. I am contending that the warranty has not even started, since the warranty does not start until after the work is successfully completed. My deal is with the Pep Boys Corporation, not the people that come and go behind the counter. When I tried to find out whom I could speak to outside of the store, at a "higher up level", they refused to tell me his name, his phone number. I was told I would have to find out on my own, and to use the Internet to complain.
