Pep Boys Stenton Ave

Pep Boys Stenton Ave, I took my car to have it inspected and 1 1/2 hrs later it still had not been touched so I went to the counter to find out how much longer I would have to wait and 5 service associates stood there laughing and having a good time while I stood there and not one of these very unprofessional people tried to help me. I could not believe they saw me standing there and not a one of them who were doing nothing tried to help. I am done with that Pep Boys and any other that allows service associates to stand around giggling instead of helping customers. Stenton Ave. Pep Boys is in serious need of a new manager.

Pep Boys in Delray Beach, Florida - Fraudulent coupon

I downloaded a $15.00 coupon off Pep Boys website for a hitch, and drove to their store to buy a hitch. After ordering, because in this era, no one has vehicle spicific items in stock, to reduce overhead, I proceeded to pay for the transaction and was told that the printed coupon was useless for the purchase. The coupon boldly states "all hitches". Trying to be a savy consumer to retain as much of my hard earned money as possible I was HURT. I only went to Pep Boys because of the savings I thought I had downloaded, only to find out that they did not HONOR their own coupon. Shame on you, shame on you.

2.7
Details
Went to them with complaint of rattle in front end and told it was sawy bar link , had coupon mailed from Pep Boy's for $30 off and after reviewing the estamete found the coupon had not been deducted. I called the mgr. George Withfield who told me I had gotten enough discount and I informed him we spoke on the phone after I found the discrepency of the failure to apply coupon. He stated math is a science , you know two and two is four are'nt you smart enough to add up all the discounts you've recieved. I told him also of the issues that noise remained as when I first dropped off vehicle,(after P.U. the clunking over bumps was sytill present) He stated call who ever you wish I have done enough. Now I had informed him the conversation would be recorded and he was'nt least concerned using unprofessional comments calling me basiclly ***

Pep Boys in Miami, Florida - PepBoys is mush better than others !!!

I have been visiting the Pepboys location on Bird Road & 107th Ave in Miami for about nine months and on a recent visit they made a believer out of me. My Toyota four runner had developed a noise in the rear since I was near the Toyota dealer I stopped by and them take a look at it. One hour later the service advisor told that the front left brake caliper, the brake hose, the master cylinder and the rear brakes needed to be replace now or my vehicle would not stop total price $998.00 without the master cylinder. I remember Pepboys and called them, I spoke to Manny the Service Manager and asked him for an estimate on this job. Manny had a service advisor called me back and provided an estimate of $758.00 including the master cylinder. I had the vehicle towed towed to their location, and after a free brake inspection (at toyota was $88.98) I was told that all the vehicle needed was a retaining clip and a spring in the rear left brakes. They also recommended new front brake pad, recommended only. I had the vehicle repaired and have driven it to Tallahasee, Florida and back without any more problems, the noise is gone and the brakes are fine. Total cost $288.00. Sure they may not be perfect, but for me honesty in of paramount importance. At least this location is rated excellent and deserves to be recognized for its qualities.

Pep Boys will not diagnose auto repair - you have to!

I took my 83 CJ7 in to Pep Boys in Garner NC after explaining the issue to a person over the phone and in the shop when I dropped it off. I was told the next day that this fuel system problem could be one of several things and they dont want to mess with it. I asked why I was not told this before bringing the vehicle in and was told they do not have time to figure out what is wrong with the auto. Master tech my behind, so diagnoes your own repair needs or do not go to Pep Boys in Garner. On top of not being willing to diagnose the fuel system problem the service manager Mr Pro is the rudest individual I have ever ran into in a customer service position. He either really hates his job or just hates people in general.

Pep Boys No More

I've had several problems with Pep Boys in Brandon FL and I've finally learned my lesson. Had transmission problems, had to tow my car to Pep Boys. Was told I needed a new transmission. A few days went by and they installed a new transmission. Within and hour of laving the shop my car would no longer shift again. Finally made it back to the shop. Was told that they corrected the problem. Yet again, the next day car wouldn't shift again. Took back to shop. Was told I had to take it to Toyota to reset my computer because the car was not recognizing that it had a new transmission. Found out that my transmission wasn't bad but that my ECM needed to be replaced. Cost $500 to fix. Already paid Pep Boys $2,500 for new transmission that wasn't bad to begin with. Brake problems. Took to Pep Boys again. New pads and was told my routers were bad and couldn't be machined. So I had to pay for new routers. A week went by and my brakes started grinding again. Took back to Pep Boys and they said they just needed to be adjusted. Another few days went by and the brakes were grinding again. Took back yet again, this time I was told that my brakes were making a funny noise because of the weather. WTF?? Okay, I suppose. About 2 months later my brakes were still making the noise. I took my car back in. Was told that there was nothing that Pep Boys could do because my brakes were fine. I wanted a second opinion. Took to Just Brakes. Turns out that Pep Boys didn't do the brake job that I paid for. I had the problem corrected at Just Brakes for $150. I contacted Pep Boys corporate office. What a joke! They just pass the info on to the local Pep Boys manager and that manager called yelling at me. I was at work and couldn't take a personal call. Every 15 minutes the Pep Boys manager called and left a message that I needed to call him immediately. When I finally got a break that's when I called and he yelled at me. Never again! I'm out a lot of money paying for faulty service but can't really do anything about it. Their Bull Dog manager is best to just leave be then deal with.

Pep Boys in Miami, Florida - Simple tune-up turned into major breakdown

Brought my vehicle to PEP BOYS for simple tune-up. A few hours pass and i am told my vehicle is ready. I pay for the charges and recieve the key. When i try to leave, FIRST THE VEHICLE IS VERY HARD TO START, once it starts i put it in gear and it stalls out. This repeats twice more and i haven't even left the parking area. I bring the manager out to see the problem and he tells me it's the catalitlc converter. I get the cat. converter out of line and reseal the exhaust. NOPE, the problem's still the same. Now i have spent over $500.00 on a SIMPLE TUNE-UP and my vehicle is still not running. What do i have to do? Get "help me howard" involved? I really don't want to cause a problem, but it seems to me that's the only way to get anyone to move any more. WHAT A SHAME. k71462@yahoo.com
